This entry focuses on architecture at a smaller scale—one that promotes wellness, retreat, and embraces the energy of the outdoors. Rooted in the growing need for 'responsible downsizing,' it reflects on the paradox between wastefulness and resourcefulness. This project reimagines the requirements of contemporary living space. Inspired by a familiar archetype found in many coastal cities, the lifeguard station serves as both an observation post in summer and a source of revenue and hospitality in winter. It exemplifies a thoughtful approach to developing rotational use through ephemeral architecture. In many instances it produces a justifiable attempt in developing Ephemeral Architecture.
